In 1838 Walter Thomson, with his wife Jane, arrived in Australia and established a winemaking tradition. Faithful to his approach, our estate grown parcels are carefully tended by our vignerons to create fine wines of great intensity.

Named after an ancient flood plain of the majestic River Murray in South Australia. Known for the greatest days of sunshine, the Riverland region has a pristine climate for premium grape growing on our limestone soils.

Tasting Notes

This full-bodied wine has flavours of blackcurrant and toasty oak. It's smooth and rich with long finish and excellent integration of dark fruits and oak. Ideal to pair with barbeque sirloin steak with rich mushroom sauce or slow cooked lamb shank.
