Tasting Notes

A lively purple hue. The nose is complex, offering delicate savoury notes entwined with ripe black cherry aromas and a hint of cracked black pepper. Rich and concentrated, showcasing the fruit's purity. Floral nuances mingle with flavours of black rose petals and cherry spices, creating a captivating and multi-dimensional taste experience. The wine's medium body is driven by fruit flavours, balanced by refreshing acidity and soft, silky tannins.

Sweetly ripe and inviting, the bouquet shows dark cherry, raspberry, floral, and mixed spice aromas. The palate displays juicy fruit intensity with supple texture backed by fine-grained tannins, finishing long and succulent. At its best: now to 2031. Written July 2025.

A crimson/garnet hue, this pleasing effort with Italy’s most famous grape exhibits a savouriness to it. There are notes of raspberries, herbs, cherries, animal skins and leaf litter with soft red fruits on the palate. Quite a spicy style, this is of medium length with good balance and fine tannins. Quite delicious drinking now, but it will continue to provide pleasure over the next five to seven years. 92.
