Baron Hermann Von Rieben emigrated from Mecklenburg to South Australia in 1849. Six years later he built the Von Riebens Hotel on our property, which was a tourist haven for many. Every comfort and accommodation was more than one could expect near the majestic lagoon teaming with fish and bird life.
These sites are a shared link to our history and sit serenely adjacent to the vineyards which continue to thrive, producing this estate grown, aromatic wine.
Aromas of Granny Smith apple and fresh citrus esters, layered with crisp garden greens and a hint of white blossom. Lemon, lime, and grapefruit lead the way, with fresh guava and floral tones adding complexity. The texture is crisp and precise, layered with mineral drive. Lively acidity and soft chalky tannins extend through a long, vibrant finish.
