So, the story goes, there was an Irishman called Paddy set up on the banks of the Murray peddling grog to the cattlemen passing his way. He tired of the standard diet of Murray fish and helped himself to the cattle being overlanded past his door. This did not earn him many friends, instead landing him in an early – and shallow – grave with three bullet holes through his skull. And now? Now we tend to this wine in the name of Paddy Devlin, to those who path our way.
